I am an ABO Certified Optician + Copywriter.

I have gone through numerous chapters in my 15 year career as an Optician and each of them has contributed to my current work philosophy and character.

As a freelance copywriter + content creator I aim to cut through the noise and present comprehensive, transparent information on optical questions and misconceptions.

Why?

Because I’ve been there.

When I began my optical career in 2006, I discovered a large gap of optical education and materials. The big-box store I started with, put emphasis on sales over solid understanding. They, like many eyewear distributers, identified themselves as a fashion retailer who happen to sell prescription eyewear.

But the reality is that eyeglasses are medical devices. They may be attractive, but if you can’t see out of them, you will not wear them.
